These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Zylo application and website. By using Zylo, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Zylo, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them.

2. Description of Service

Zylo is a messaging application that enables encrypted communication between users via offline mesh networking using Bluetooth and WiFi Direct. We provide:

  • Account creation and authentication
  • Public key infrastructure for encrypted messaging
  • Username-based user discovery
  • Administrative communication features

We do not provide, store, or transmit the content of user-to-user messages on our servers.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must provide accurate information when registering
  • You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate others
  • You must not share your account with others
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use Zylo to:

  • Send spam, harassment, threats, or abusive content
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the service
  • Impersonate Zylo staff or other users
  • Use the service for any illegal activity

5. Mesh Network Participation

By enabling mesh communication in Zylo, you agree that:

  • Your device may automatically relay encrypted packets for other users
  • You will not be able to read relayed messages (they are encrypted)
  • Relay activity uses minimal device resources (battery, storage, data)
  • You can disable mesh participation at any time in Settings

6. Content and Messages

You are solely responsible for the content you send through Zylo. Because messages are end-to-end encrypted, we cannot monitor or moderate message content. You must ensure your use complies with all applicable laws.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice. Offline mesh functionality does not depend on our servers and will continue to work even if our web services are unavailable.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Zylo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will meet your specific requirements, be error-free, or that message delivery is guaranteed in all network conditions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zylo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification. Continued use of Zylo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
